January 16, 1920, ZETA PHI BETA SORORITY, INC., was founded by Arizona Cleaver Stemons, Pearl Anna Neal, Myrtle Tyler Faithful, Violet Tyler Goings, and Fannie Pettie Watts at Howard University. The sorority was founded on the mission of fostering Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood and Finer Womanhood.
